Vermont Offers Free Fishing Day, State Park Access

Vermont Days are an annual invitation to visitors and Vermonters to explore Vermont places and activities for free! Vermont State Park day areas and state-owned historic sites will be open at no charge on June 8-9. Saturday is free fishing day - the one day of the year that anyone with a fishing pole may fish Vermont waterways without a license. Vermont Days offer a variety of activities and events at state parks and historic sites. Note, several sites offer specific free times one day only, please be sure to visit www.vermontdays.com for the complete schedule.

June 8: Grand Isle Fishing Festival

at the Ed Weed Fish Culture Station in Grand Isle. Designed for young anglers, this free event offers basic fishing instruction and the chance for kids to catch big trout in a pond next to the hatchery. 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
