Trailer Alignment?
#1
My boat trailer wears tires unevenly and ridiculously fast (inside edges). Anyone have any advice or want to recommend someone who can fix the issue? Its a single axle Ranger trail. Thanks in advance.

Check the bearings. Might have a bent axle is the worst scenario.

Contact kentofnsl or Old_Coot, I think one or both of them had to take their trailer into the shop to have it aligned. Sometimes the axles need to be bent to get them in alignment.

go to alignment specialty's in slc. it just off the 21st south freeway between redwood and 13th west. I had the same problem with mine and they handled it great while I waited. and for a reasonable price. on trailers you need highly specialized equipment and only a few place can do it properly.

I had the same problem with mine. Alignment Specialists in Salt Lake fixed it. The are around 21st so and 11th west.

Thanks so much guys! Looks like two endorsements for alignment specialists and that's good enough for me. I really appreciate the input! I'm getting really tired of replacing tires every year.

Your shackles and bushings are worn out, probably bolts too.

Make sure you have enough air in them.

My ranger trailer calls for 65#

Too little air pressure will wear the insides.

I had the same problem. Took my trailer to TDS. There in Ogden at 17th and Wall ave and another one in SLC, not sure of the location down there. They did a thrust adjustment and also tweaked my axle that was bent. Your looking at approximately 75.00 to 100.00 bucks to get it done.

Still cheaper than new tires and tows and backs way better. You won't regret doing it.
