Hi all, went out this Sunday and fished Santa Monica Bay, I am happy to report that the halibut are on the munch big time, we had to weed thru about 10 shorts to get the one legal fish for the day she was a fat female of about 10 pounds( great dinner that nite).We fished the topanga bubbles and up by the sea lion All our bites were at the bubbles in 40 to 45 feet of water, Larry at INSEINE bait had live squid in the receivers, not to bad for only 4 hours of fishing.I noticed that all the boats around us were hooking short fish.The big boys should be in in time for the derbies...See you on the water.
