Time to wash the Long Johns. Also looking into a cheap house in NC. Winter is nice for the Clown, but these old hands can't take it.

With a little effort and some good luck I could be walking on water in 3 months. Hit the ice in mid November last year. [Smile]

Going to drop down to 75 here this weekend,

this past week while it rained every day, I was looking at a few cold weather pics. I found a cople that dated back to 78...

Ok, they are not fish, but still was a sweet 25 degree day and the days catch wasnt to shabby.

I wouldnt mind chewing on another one of these wild boar.

Did you hunt a preserve? They are moving our way, but I don't think we'll ever see them.

yes, it was a preserve, out in Dexter.

Ted Nugent bought this perserve a few years after I was on it.
it has a beautiful trout pond out front nice big swamp for geese and ducks and feilds for phesents.

you can tell by my jacket I was expecting a wormer day, we all were, then when we got there we got a bit of an artic blast that chilled us right to the bone.

dont let any tell you that hunting boar in a reserve is like shooting fish in a barrol, far from it, it is even more dangerous than in the wild cuz there are more of them wondering around and if one comes at you, you have no place to run.. [shocked]

all in all it was a good time, I was a little under gunned, I was using a ruger 44 carbine with hallowpoints. Beginners mistake for sure. Took a lemon sized group of 4 rounds while he was running before I finaly got a round to pass though. The vary least I should have been using full metal jackets
