Inter city South Platte River
#1
I'm heading to a conference in Denver for work and upon investigation found that I am about a mile from the south platte river. I am seriously considering bringing my fly pole to fish the river. I fly in early on Sunday and leave later on Wednesday. My conference is Monday and Tuesday.

Was wondering if anyone had an information on the fishing in the city. I'm interested to know:

- Can I access the river easily in the city (in Utah there has been quite a uproar over the last few years about private property and water access). Are there any regulations surrounding that if I was to fish on the river?
- Is the river even fishable with flies; water clarity?
- I guess I also don't particularly want to fish for crap or catfish. Are there other species that are regularly caught out of there?

-Any other information would be greatly appreciated.
