Been here about an hour. Two bites and one 13 in rainbow landed. Caught on a glow white jig with a wax worm. Hoping it picks up a bit. Fishing in about 8 feet of water se corner. Ice is 6 inches.

I'm glad I was scheduled to work today.

Bad sign when it's that slow THIS early, and with the masses on the ice.

Hope it gets better for you.

weird i was there too and maybe 1000 others. got there around 6, managed to stay away from the crowds till people saw fish flying out of the tent. left around 12, had my black dog pulling my sled. Didnt quite kill it like some but i guess better then others. 4trout, 12 nice perch and 2 bluegill.

I think finding a good spot is key at Mantua, IE weed bed. Otherwise you end up with just a random rainbow now and then. We left around noon. Not a stellar day but sure beats going to work!!!
