That is the Idaho state record and the world record iced perch! The world record yellow perch is over 4 lbs and it's currently the longest standing fresh water fish record in North America!

And I can understand them not wanting to Hot Spot.

[#0000FF]Cascade is a large body of water and the fish move around...like in our local waters. But there are a couple of good tackle shops in the area that can give you up to date info if you go.

Otherwise, you have to use the "biblical system". Seek and ye shall find...or not.

its only a world record for "through the ice, with a tip up" there seems to be a lot of misinformation going around. I have had half a dozen people say to me " did you hear the world record perch was caught in idaho?" It is only a world record in a specific tackle category. SD,ND,MN,WI,MI and a few more all have bigger perch for their state record (MN and WI are 3lbs 4 oz). All that aside congratulations to this girl. That is truly a fish of a lifetime. NICE FISH!!!!

Just kidding TD--you must have missed the laugh out loud. I knew there were people wanting that info. I like it better when I find my own. Wouldn't mind catching some of that ones little brothers/sisters--one pounders would be excellent in my book any day! Would like to go up there sometime for sure and check it out.
