Another beautiful day at the Berry 1/13/04
#1
Fished the marina this morning from 7-10. It was a picture perfect morning without fog or the inversion. It was sunny with lots of blue sky and about 25 degrees (warmer than in the walley). There were 4 other groups out fishing but quite a ways away from us so don't know how they did. We fished in 19-20 feet of water with foxey jigs tipped with mealys. The first hour was dreadfully slow and then the second hour we landed 9 fish between the two of us (8 cuts in the slot and one bow) and lost 2 or 3 at the hole. The last hour had 2 hits and missed them both! [Sad] Not a good way to finish. But overall a good day on the ice. It was depressing coming back into the dreary valley with all the fog and haze. It was refreshing to get away! Fish on!

Thanks for the post. Can you update us on the condition of the ramp? Specifically, are 4-wheelers able to make it up now?

Ramp is good and packed now since no new snow for several days. No prob for the wheelers. Several wheelers on the ice this AM without difficulty. No more slush either.
