Wood’s Ranch Kid’s Pond Workshop a Success
The youth fishing workshop held Saturday, May 30 was a success! Many families attended and more than 40 kids showed up ready to fish. Presentations from Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife and the Division of Wildlife Resources captured the audience, and raffle prizes donated by SFW followed. Mentors from SFW, DWR and dedicated hunters helped little ones with tying knots, baiting hooks and casting.
Lunch was also provided by SFW, and prizes for the longest and shortest fish caught. We love to host these events that allow us to offer opportunities to children and their families, aspiring to spark an interest in wildlife recreation and conservation. Thanks to all who helped with the event and to the families that participated!
