<" }}^ >< Ice Fishing Tip #34

For you Thumb Biter (pike) hunters sitting in your shanty waiting for the occasional passing by of those trophies. Why not make those Thumb Biters wait for you instead?

Sounds to you like a pipe dream? No one can make a Thumb Biter hang around for you to eventually show up!

My friend I can testify to you this is an achievable option. Here is how it works:

Baitfish is your best friend in this waiting game. So what we want to do is to keep the little worm eaters hanging around or at least to make your shanty a daily stop by for them. In doing so, Those Thumb Biters will make this spot a regular on their hunting rounds. After one Thumb Biter has been taken another will move in to take its place. Thus relinquishing the need to move to new locations after a catch to find another big one.

To keep the baitfish hanging around, all you need do is use canned corned and sprinkle it around the hole generously; using canned hominy with the corn will help to give you a depth perception in the water as well as draw in baitfish.

http://myweb.ecomplanet.com/MESS6438/
Lookie See what the kids are up to.
Dave T.
