Kentucky Lake & Lake Barkley
#1
Today was a truly nice spring day. Crappie have been slow but the weather has not helped fishing. Today there were scattered catches of crappie caught in 10' to 12' of water. Most were caught on jigs. The water warmed today and some crappie moved fairly shallow. We have been expecting crappie fishing to get good for the past week or two. It looks like it is going to start soon. The water will really warm with a few more days like today. The same report came from both Kentucky Lake & Lake Barkley. Small mouth fishing is really improving on Kentucky Lake along the pea gravel banks. Small crank baits are catching most. Whitebass and bluegill are slow.

TIP: The crappie are going to start moving toward spawning when the water temp is in the low 50's.

BITS AND PIECES: Some men see things as they are and say why?
