Red hot 4X yellowtail fishing trips to NZ
#1
G'day one and all. Well the jet lag has gone and I have my BOOYAA shorts on as I sit here and type the good news. I love em to death!

Had a real ball at the Ho Show and my thanks to Mike R and many others who made it even better with their friendship and warm hospitality.. We are definately heading back in 2003 with a Demon Tackle Booth at the Long Beach Show that is for sure...

Big news dudes and here it is.

Based on discussions with a number of interested SoCal anglers while I was at Long Beach, I have organised a special fishing trip so that US anglers come down under and tangle with some real yellowtail from up to 120 lb. Yep, that's what I said, up to 120 lb.

Read on!

When? late Oct/early Nov 2002 - exact dates are subject to moon phases and I will advise you on that shortly.
Who with: Well known SoCal Capt Rick Pollick
Boat: "Pursuit" 53 ft Sporfisher game boat. http://www.demonjigs.com/images/Pursuit.jpg
Port Location: Whakatane - New Zealand.
How long? 5 fulll fishing days
Fish Species: YT, Hapuka, Sea Trout, Yellowfin Tuna, Marlin and others.
Max boat numbers? 6 anglers only. Live aboard for the duration of the fishing trip.
Cost per angler: $150 USD per day per angler and that includes all food and soft drinks. Does not include overnight stay in Auckland to toss off the jet lag if needed.

Transfer from Auckland to the boat port will be costed by me shortly and would suggest driving down (in a mini van) as one option.
Tackle: HD Stand up minimum 80lb line with a two speed 6/0 reel. 4 outfits available plus gimble and harness sets. Bring your own gear needed x 2.
Tour Leader: The MJB - Oz
Average airfare cost to Auckland NZ via LAX? $700-800 USD return. Check with your travel agent for specials, including a group booking.
Flight time? to NZ via LAX - 12 hours non stop.

Get you hand up "fast" for this trip because we are going to bust some real serious yellowtail. Two groups are already booked, locked and loaded.

Weather permitting, we will also run out to the legendary "Ranfurley Banks" to fish on some other big NZ fish bruisers like giant sea bass..

Also start going to the gym and pump some major weights. Why? Because you will need all the help you can get when these 4X YT hit your stand up gear. They will have you begging for mercy let me tell ya!

Serious anglers with a more than serious interest in this trip should get back to me ASAP with Q's via this post as this trip will fill fast.

A 20% deposit will also be required to secure your spot on the boat once dates are accepted and finalised..

Don't forget to "pass the word" on to others if your not able to go.

Burnin Thumbs!

Steve B
Mod-Lures/Baits & Oz Boards
http://www.demonjigs.com

Well G'day Master Jig Builder Steve, my friend from Down Under. Nice to hear that you made it home safely. It was very nice to meet you and you were a kick to hang out with. Thanx for helping us set-up our booth and schlange some product. After spending a week with you, myself and the Booyaa Crew cant wait to drop in to Australia and bang away at those puppy yellows at 120lbs and tilt a few more back. Im glad you like your shorts, I bet you 20-1 they will become your favorite.

Keep me posted on the response you get from the Aussie population.

Thanx for teaching me Australian, I having been using G'day since I met you.

Adios Mate!

Booyaa To Ya'!
http://www.booyaaclothing.com
Romero

G'day Friend,
I dont know that we can make the scheduled trips, but you can count on us scrambling to find our way out to Australia. Down under has always been a place we have wanted to visit and it's even more attractive knowing we have a friend to show us the ropes. How did Chris from New Zealand enjoy the show and the California fishing folk?

Booyaa To Ya'!
http://www.booyaaclothing.com
Romero

Steve, I have been checking your posts and keep dreaming of the day I could make the trip Down Under. Just took a look at the link and it sounds like a great adventure for the well condititioned Angler. With some limitations physicaly it is more than I would be able to handle. All I ask is keep sending the great posts so the other anglers like me can keep dreaming about the great place known by all as Down Under.

Texas gulf cost fisher.
