? on shimano TLD's performance
#1
I was just wondering on how the shimano TLD one speed and 2 speed performance before purchasing... rather than buying the Tiagras and the penn Internationals( that are a lil too $$$$!) I'm trying to get more input on cheaper reels w/o sacrificing too much on the performance.... I will appreciate any information...

Well a close friend of mine uses one (don't remember the size) with 30lb test and last year on a boat we was able to get in a blue shark around 12ft long. So i think they are fairly well but you get what you pay for.

www.multimania.com/gamecentral

I have TLDs, Tiagras, and Penns, both Int'l and Senators. Tiagras are simply an awesome reel-if you do not need the line class of the tiagras then the TLDs work just fine. I really am a fan of the Shimano reels in all sizes-well built smooth and relatively easy to maintain. If you can stand the step up in price, the tiagra would be the choice. Also check on ebay since you will find these for sale there sometimes at fairly good savings.

Bart Waldo
Vista Communications
http://www.vistatel.com
