Pineview Sunday
#1
My Son and I decided to skip out on watching the Steelers/Broncos game and go catch some Crappie....headed up to the "View"

* Fished late afternoon/early evening

* Off Cemetery North

* 45' of water

* 8" of ice

* Caught our 40 pretty easily.

* Used Kastmasters on bottom/Ratfinkee Chartruese on top dropper. Both tipped with 1/2 of a meal worm. It was about 50/50 on what bait they hit.

* A short jig with a pause would elicit the bite. My son had a spring bobber and my rod has a built in bobber tip (13 Fishing Tickle Stick) which both were necessary to see the bite.

* Slush on the ice sucked...Our strategy was to find a good patch of undisturbed snow and drilled our holes there...we packed the snow down instead of shoveling it. Worked well.

* The finder had so many fish marked the bottom appeared to be @ 40'....but it wasnt...the first 5' of red marks were fish...!

*Filleting 40 Crappie sucks....

Nice, nothing like getting into a school of them. Great info too, I might have to head up that way soon.
