first fishing trip in CO.
#1

I made it out fishing finely, got my boat all licensed and inspected 2 weeks ago.
we went up to horse tooth on Thursday, the water temp was 46 to 48. we cast rapalas down the shore line, caught 2 smallies about 13in. here's a pic of my first Colorado fish, hope many more will come.

Nice going Chuck, I bet it felt good to finally get out and do some fishing[Smile]. Can't say I've ever heard of horse tooth. What pattern of Rapala were you using?

Hey Curt, yea it was nice to get out that's for sure. horse tooth reservoir is just west of fort collins about 10 miles or less. it take me about 15 20 minutes to get there. it's a long and skinny res. up against the mountains. it has some real nice looking bank lines to fish along. now I have to get over to carter reservoir and see about these walleyes in there. carter is managed for trophy walleyes, I'll see if I can get a 30 in. this summer out of there.
