Beaver Lakes fly patterns
#1
I will be tubing the beaver lakes this week (Kent's lakes and little reservoir) and was wondering what patterns seem to work there

As a general rule, I've found brown to be the magic color for Beaver lakes. Dry or wet, if it has brown on it and I'm fishing one of the Beaver Mountain lakes, I seem to do well. That being said, I was there last week (on Kent's) and did better with a Black Wooly Bugger and/or a Black Zebra Midge (caught a real nice Tiger on the Midge). It could be that it is earlier in the year than when I typically go there that Black seems to be working.

A few other flies that have worked for me:

- Coachman variations
- Black Jack Nymph (pink or green)
- A big ugly deer hair caddis with a midge dropper
- Buggers always catch me something if nothing else will

As a side note, I've never done too well at Little Res. I am usually always on Kent's or Lebaron in a toon.

Hope that helps and happy fishing!

That helps a great deal, I've only fished Anderson Meadow and am anxious to try some more of those lakes. Great information!
