#1
Just was wondering if anyone has done a float trip down diamond fork? Buddy and I are hitting it this Thursday and we thought about it but with it being kinda a small stream would it even be worth it? Just to five you guys an idea of what we have I will be on a 7 foot pontoon and he will be in a kayak

I assume you don't mean float and fish it?

Sections of the Diamond Fork I am picturing, if you try to launch a 7ft pontoon it would be wedged between the banks. [Smile]

I don't think it is possible, just wade it.

I fish up there quite a bit and I don't think there is enough flowing water to make it work for you and, as Remo noted, you can basically wade anywhere you need to go.

I suppose if you are committed to do it however, have at it. Watch out for the rattler hatch.

This will give you a feel for what you would be dealing with... these pics are from June 2015:

The flows at that time were 90 CFS on the USGS gauge near Thistle, UT... right now it's a tad above 50 CFS... pretty skinny water at the moment.
