fall fishing
#1
While on a hunting excursion a couple of weeks ago I took time for a little fishing. I watched a rising fish for a few minutes, and it took a size 18 emerger (tied in grey, with a little elk hair wing) on the first cast. He turned out to be my best fish of the season--a rainbow pushing 22 inches.

I've also been out to the lower Provo, which is continuing to fish ok. Caught a few most recently on a WD-40 in size 20 (or at least a fly that I tie to resemble that pattern). I tie it with a tiny glass bead. Not sure that makes a difference, but it makes me feel like it is a little better. Probably time to start throwing streamers in the near future.
