Hot day on the Weber
#1
I know what you are thinking....the weber produced a hot day? For me it did! My buddy and I went out this last Saturday 10.29.16 in Weber Canyon and had a decent start, but were struggling to figure the fish out. We were there around 8:00am and there were some fish rising but not enough to commit to a dry. We could see them in the water and knew our presentation was right, but the flies were just not. I tried a few emerger patterns but nothing took. They would take a san juan here and there, but not enough. Finally I put on a modified 16 Eagan Dart with a 16 grey BWO nymph and it was on. I doubled up on that rig once as well. Never had two fish on at the same time and jump out of the water together. Pretty cool to catch a couple synchronized swimming/jumping browns. After a few hours and about 30-40 fish later we called it a day so my buddy could get home.
