meter marks
#1
I just started private boat fishing and was wondering exactly what a meter mark is? Does this require a complex radar system or can it be done with a standard fish finder.

I think you are after the objects that show on your depth finder screen. Meter marks to me mean something indicative of fish life. The depth finder can mark clouds of small fish, individual large fish and water turbidity ;thus, the term "meter marks". George, I just was at your corner and made a discovery. Your life history has the makings of a great movie.
Let's give it a name! "THE LIFE OF GEORGE" or better yet "A LIFE THAT EVERY ONE WANT'S". When some one makes the movie of your life I do not want any credit for the idea. I just want to be at the first showing as it will be a packed theater after the reviews are out.

Texas Gulf Coast Fisher.

I have never fished in the ocean; ok I have never even seen the ocean out side of a TV screen.

I have fished in lake St. Clair on the shipping lanes they have buoys about every meter. This could be what you might be referring to. My dad referred to these as “meter markers”.

Hey seamen, am I making a fool outta myself again?

http://myweb.ecomplanet.com/MESS6438/
Lookie See what the kids are up to.
Dave T.
