Friday night bite

Hit PV for the first outing of the ice fishing season for me.

Got on the ice about 6pm and started drilling holes. We drilled about 20 holes before we found them and when we did it was as fast as you could get back down the hole.

Orange buckshot,UV, or a glow rat finky was the key tipped with waxie or gulp minnow.
Depth was 49' deep and fish were stacked from the bottom to five feet off at times.
Fish were 9" to 13" most being in the 10-11" range. Bigger fish came later in the evening. We left at 9pm with two limits and very happy for first time out.

Thanks for the report sounds like you found some big ones. I haven't seen anything bigger than 11" I would love to see a pic of your 13"er if you have one.
