Bass Hysteria- On the Bite at San Clemente Island

Things heat up fishing San Clemente Island with a top crew from Shimano. The fish were eating everything we threw at them, hard baits as well as the plastics. For years we’ve been pitching baits into the boiler rocks and along the kelps at SCI and have had some luck, but nothing like we had on this trip. Legal calicos are plentiful but the big ones pushing 10 pounds are few and far between.
