Fished it yesterday from 4.00pm to about 7.30 pm.

Got couple of nice browns at 1.3 and 1.4 pounds respectively. Right of the dam, walking it back and forth. I was the only person there. Set one poll with worm, later switched to power bait , not a hit. Both fish loved the little rapala minnow, so I kept throwing it at them. Also tried flies - no luck. Bunch of little fish is hatching right at the shoreline , so that's why rapala is most effective.

I lost a few, my reaction was a bit off yesterday. Overall, i give this trip a C+, it's a little too early for trout anyhow.

Sounds like nice fish for this time of year. Could you tell what the minnows were? Thanks for the report. Later J

Deep diver minnow crank that looks like the one on this pic.
But in all honesty, you can probably get away with cheap chinese sub.

That's a nice looking lure it really imitates the little trout well. So just thinking out loud, they must be cutthroat because the koke and Browns are spawning in the fall and I don't think the bows are fertile. Thanks for the info. J
