Baked Dove with Vegetables

[#000000][size 3][font "arial"]6 doves, cut in half or 12 breasts
3 tbsp butter
6 scallions
1 carrot, chopped
1 stalk celery, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup white wine
1 bay leaf
1 tsp marjoram[/font] [/size][/#000000]
[#000000][size 3][font "arial"]In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the dove and brown on both sides. Remove the doves.

In the same skillet, saute the scallions, carrot, celery and pepper.

Meanwhile, in a suace pan, bring the broth and wine to a boil. Remove from heat.

Add the bay leaf, marjoram and boiling broth mixture to the vegatables. Stir together.

Grease a casserole dish and place the doves in the bottom.

Pour the vegetable mixture over the doves.

Cover and bake for 20 - 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
