We fished that same area on friday and there was not much action. The fish finder didn't even flash. The good about it was just getting out.

I fished the North Marina this morning from 0700 to 0900am.
Not a bite.
I did see a lot of fish on the finder but they looked to be shad, to me.
A few Perch came up from the bottom to look.but no takers.
At least I think that they were Perch.
The ice is at least 5" thick now and several people were out from the docks and fishing on the ice.

It was nice to meet you DK. We fished till about noon and didn't catch a thing. We went out in the main channel in about 17' of water because we thought we could get into the perch in deeper water but very light bites. Still going to go try it again tomorrow. How did you do at your other spot.

FF53,
we both fished Mantua last Monday and Willard today.
Where are we going to meet next weekend?[fishin]

I met a buddy at Jensen Pond. I planed to ice fish it, but the ice wasn't safe.
We fished a small piece of open water from the shore and did all right.

I will be back to Willard for another try, over the Holidays.
With all the Shad that showed up on the finder, I hope to see some Wiper in the Marina by then.
