I think I've graphed some of the big boys in the summer while trolling. Every once in a while I cross a big arc right on the bottom, but I'm usually fishing higher for bows. Guess I need to mark it and go back rigged for big fish. Assuming I know how to do that. I just haven't ever fished for big browns so I don't know if laker tactics transfer across or not. Toughest part will be locating them. But it would be fun to catch a hog. I'd be in trouble ice fishing, I have a 5" auger. Nice for small fish, but limiting for any with real size. Later J

Good luck, we will expect pics if successful !!
Try using a small 2-3 inch swim bait, like a berkley minnow, rainbow or silver color, I would think a big brown would rather hit that than an ice fly

I got a nice one at the pig last winter jigging a crocodile, but I haven't even put a croc on this year so far. Later J
